Opinion and advertising
[edit]I've removed the comments by an obviously disgruntled employee, since this is not the place for it. The person may in fact be the author of the book he's linked to on Amazon.com. Is this against Wikipolicy? I don't want to remove it if it's appropriate, but frankly it makes me uncomfortable, since it's clearly an anti-JRC screed and published by a vanity press. - OK, this writer, using a name intended to make fun of another JRC employee, has reverted the article back to his subjective, angry, opinionated, inappropriate verbiage. I don't intend to get into an editing war; would someone else weigh in? InkQuill 01:46, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- The only thing to do is keep reverting this stuff. "Duh Rienzo's" contributions are a clear violation of WP:NPOV (i.e. "Neutral Point of View" policy). And he's doing the same thing over at Trentonian. You did a great job turning his screed into a factual contribution that adds to the JRC article, so I restored what you'd written. Comments in main article
[edit]Why is The Mercury commented out in the main article? According to the JRC website it has over > 20,000 in circulation. Looks like revision on 17 February 2007 by Wiki Wistah , with edit summary of "Added circs of biggest papers; copyedit", made it a comment but I'm still not sure why. Thanks for your help. --KarenJo90 21:50, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- To be honest, I'm not sure why I did that. I was chugging away at this page for a spell there, but then went on a short Wikibreak and forgot about it when I came back. My guess is that I couldn't find a source for The Mercury's circ, so removed it from the list but commented it out to remind myself (or some other editor) to look into it in the future. Feel free to return it to the list if a source will back you up. I'll put this page on my to-do list. ``` W i k i W i s t a h W a s s a p 21:45, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
